About WFA

The Winemakers’ Federation of Australia (WFA) is the peak national body for the Australian wine industry. 

Role & Mission
WFA’s mission is to lead a united and diverse Australian winemaking industry and assist winemakers to achieve sustainable and globally benchmarked profitability.

History & Officers
The Federation was created in 1989 as a single, national representative body for Australian winemakers and wine businesses.

Board & Committees
The WFA Board makes Federation policy and oversees its implementation. The Board is chaired by the President.

Since 1992 WFA has honoured individuals who have made a particularly significant contribution to the Australian wine and brandy industry.

The National Wine Foundation generates funding to support projects that promote the responsible consumption of alcohol.
